RentKeeper

Privacy

RentKeeper is built by Human Hygiene Kft. for companies that lend out their own equipment. This page says plainly what we hold, why, and what we send to our own tools to run the product.

Last updated 21 Oct 2026.

What your company gives us

Your company name, the equipment list (asset name, type, serial), each rental (renter name, renter contact, start and due date), and any photo you upload of the asset or its paperwork at hand-out. This belongs to your company; we only store it on its behalf.

Your account

You sign in with your mixtape account at account.mixtape.works — RentKeeper never sees or stores a password. We keep your email, your display name and which company you belong to, tied to your account’s own id.

Cookies we set

Two. rk_session names your signed-in session so you stay logged in; it is HttpOnly, sent only over HTTPS, and expires after 30 days or when you sign out. lang remembers the language you picked in the menu under the cog (or the one you signed in from), so RentKeeper opens in it; it holds en or hu and lasts a year. We set no other cookie — no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie.

Page views

A visit to this landing page or this privacy page is counted in aggregate — a number, with no cookie and no identifier tying it to you — and that aggregate count is reported to mixtape.works’ internal Studio dashboard, so the team building RentKeeper can see how the product is doing. No personal data about you leaves RentKeeper this way, and this counting never happens on pages you have to sign in to see.

E-mail

Due-date reminders are e-mailed through Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, from Frankfurt, Germany), with Resend (resend.com) as the backup when AWS cannot take a message. They see only the message and the address it goes to; nothing else in your account.

Renters you will not rent to again

If you ban a renter, we keep their name and whichever of their e-mail or phone you gave us, plus the reason you typed and when you banned them — only so RentKeeper can warn you if you try to rent to them again. Only your company can see this list; it is never shared, sold or used for anything else. It stays until you lift the ban yourself, or ask us to delete your company’s data entirely.

Return reports and damage photos

When you mark an item returned, we keep a return report on that rental: its condition (all fine, or damaged), the note you wrote about any damage or missing parts, the photos you attached, when it came back, and the name or e-mail of the person in your company who took it back. The photos are kept with the rental, like the ones from hand-out, and are deleted with the item or its rentals. Only your company can see them.

Getting your data out, or deleted

There is no self-service export yet. Write to support@mixtape.works and we will send your company everything as a file, or delete it outright, within a few working days.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to RentKeeper news in the footer, the mixtape account service (account.mixtape.works) keeps your e-mail address, the list, your language and when you subscribed, confirmed or left — only to send you that list's news, and mixtape news if you ticked that box. Nobody is added before clicking the link in the confirmation e-mail. Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe; after that we keep only the note that you left, so you are never written to again. The mails go out through Amazon Web Services, like the reminders.
